Overview
Price-wise, Poland is much more affordable than Germany, especially in Wroclaw. I really loved the city's size. There's none of that Berlin-level chaos, but it's also not so small that you'd get bored. There are tons of tourist activities. We stayed for 2 nights, but even 3-4 nights wouldn't get boring. I think it would even be a great city to live in, cold winters aside.
What to See
Following the dwarves around while exploring the city is genuinely so much fun. It gives you extra motivation to explore, a unique concept, and since each one is different and original, you end up with a great photo series.
My favorite attraction was definitely the National Museum. The ivy-covered building is absolutely stunning. Back home, everyone who sees even a bit of ivy creeping up our house keeps telling us it'll damage the walls and we should tear it off. I need to print out a photo of this building as the ultimate counterargument.
Pierogarnia is an original local specialty. We had the mixed plate at Rynek 26 and found it excellent value for money. Despite being a tourist spot, they haven't compromised on quality. For traditional vodka shots and the classic Polish bar experience, Prewar is both cheap and perfectly fits the vibe.
Budget
Significantly cheaper than Germany. Excellent value for food and drinks.
