Overview
One of Greece's most popular islands, which we had the chance to see on a day trip via our cruise.
The town center is beautiful, tidy, well-kept, with a nice atmosphere. Just extremely windy. Overall more orderly than Santorini.
What to See
We went to Platis Gialos Beach. The sea looks truly gorgeous, but despite it being early September, the wind was incredible. The weather also turned overcast, so we unfortunately couldn't enjoy a proper beach day. Definitely best to visit in July or August. Sunbeds are 20 EUR per person. Some spots let you sit for free but their drinks are very expensive, and the types running those places are pretty shady, no need to sit there.
Getting There
People always say there's a transport problem on the island with limited taxis, but we found both taxis and Uber available whenever we needed them. Just expensive. One-way rides generally cost 35-40 EUR. Definitely negotiate.
