Overview
A Greek island we visited as a day stop on our cruise. The weather was so bad that we could barely even get off the boat due to the waves.
What to See
Sarakiniko Beach is an absolute must-see natural wonder. It feels like walking on the moon. Even if you can't swim, it's worth going just to explore. You really need to come in August though, we got absolutely battered by the wind in early September.
Getting There
For taxis, there's an island-specific app called Milos App. Download it and book through there. Compared to other Greek islands, prices are more reasonable, the Adamantas to Sarakiniko ride cost us 15 EUR. Public transport to the island's most popular cove runs only once every 2 hours, which is frankly ridiculous when you think about how easily they could increase the frequency to let everyone get around comfortably.
Tips & Advice
There's none of the unnecessary tourist overcrowding you get at Mykonos and Santorini. For a beach holiday, this looks like the best route, but definitely come in August.
