Da Nang to Siem Reap
Cambodia Angkor Air is now branded in English as Air Cambodia. The main site worked well and ticket purchase was painless. Some seat-selection and self-service pages still used the old Cambodia Angkor Air branding and domains, so moving between two generations of the website was confusing.
We flew from Da Nang to Siem Reap. It appeared to be the only direct flight on that route, and the check-in desk was empty. Our bags were three or four kilograms over the allowance and we expected to pay, but the desk did not object. That was a one-off experience, not a promise that excess baggage is free.
Seats were narrow. Crew members spoke what sounded like a Slavic language among themselves, but I cannot responsibly infer nationality from that. We did not notice Cambodian crew on this particular flight.
Only water was served. Cabin staff also seemed unusually relaxed about final seat-belt checks before landing. It was the most easygoing airline operation I have experienced.
